John O'Connell

John O'Connell currently serves as the GSC IT Solutions Director at Eurofins, leading IT tools and shared services since July 2025, while also acting as an INED/Trustee for Empowermentplus since September 2024, contributing to governance and strategic direction. Previously, John held key positions such as Vice-Chair of the IF Emerging Tech and Innovation Working Group at Irish Funds, and Director of Software Engineering Solutions at Expleo Group, where innovative product development and cloud strategies were prioritized. Extensive experience includes roles such as General Manager at Uptick Labs, Head of Production Engineering at eShopWorld, and Director of Software Engineering at Jet.com, complemented by a robust history at Dun & Bradstreet in various technical and managerial capacities. John holds a Bachelor of Engineering and a Master's in Technology Management from University College Dublin, alongside additional qualifications from the Institute of Directors.
