Maxime Van Eecke has a diverse work experience in the maritime industry. Maxime started their career at Hunter Maritime Acquisition Corporation in 2016 as a Corporate Development Manager, responsible for acquiring vessels and operating businesses. In 2019, they joined Compagnie Maritime Belge (CMB) as a Senior Legal Counsel, providing legal support in corporate, commercial, financial, and maritime law matters. Maxime later took on multiple roles within CMB, including Managing Director of Delphis, where they oversaw the container division of the group. In 2023, they joined Euronav as the Chief Commercial Officer, leading their commercial operations.
Maxime Van Eecke obtained a Master's degree in Law from Ghent University in the period from 1999 to 2004. In 2004-2005, they pursued a Master's degree in Commercial Trade & Maritime Law at the University of Southampton.
