Michael Gruber is an Optical Systems Expert at EV Group since October 2020, with prior experience as a Medior Optical Design Engineer at TNO and a Junior Optical Designer. Michael's work at TNO included system design for a modular optical communication terminal, involving optomechanical design and tolerance analysis. Michael completed a PhD in optical spectroscopy at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, focusing on single molecule studies of photosynthetic protein complexes. Earlier research roles include single molecule fluorescence experiments at IMETUM and investigations on diamond conductivity at the Walter Schottky Institute. Michael holds a Master's degree in Applied Physics from the Technical University of Munich, a Postgraduate Diploma in Physics from the University of Auckland, and additional education from the International Space University.
