Sampo Kättö

Sampo Kättö has extensive work experience in the legal field. Sampo is currently working as the General Counsel and Head of M&A at Evac Group since May 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Sanoma as a Legal Counsel specializing in M&A and Corporate matters from August 2017 to May 2021. Sampo also has experience working at Borenius, Finland, where they served as a Senior Associate from February 2016 to July 2017, and as an Associate Lawyer from November 2011 to January 2016. Furthermore, they worked at OP Corporate Bank plc as a Senior Legal Counsel (secondee) in Capital Markets Financing from April 2017 to June 2017. Sampo also has international experience as an Associate (Visiting Lawyer) at Shearman & Sterling LLP in 2015. Additionally, they have experience as a Legal Counsel (secondee) in Capital Markets Financing at Pohjola Bank Plc from July 2015 to August 2015. Sampo has also worked as a Lecturer at Pykälä ry, providing law school preparation courses from March 2013 to May 2014. Sampo began their legal career as a Junior Trainee at Attorneys at law Borenius & Kemppinen Ltd in June 2007 and later became a Senior Trainee from November 2008 to August 2011.

Sampo Kättö received their Master's degree in Law from the University of Helsinki from 2005 to 2011. After pursuing their undergraduate studies, they furthered their education by enrolling at Queen Mary University of London in 2014. During their time there, they obtained a Master of Laws (LLM) degree in Corporate and Commercial Law, completing their studies in 2015.
