Mieke Vermaak is a professional architect currently working at Evaco Group since July 2023. Mieke co-founded Their Perspective in March 2020, an initiative aimed at creating a globally accessible archive of women in architecture to address their underrepresentation and misrepresentation in the field. Prior experience includes a role as a professional architect at SAOTA from October 2019 to June 2023, and positions at Gallagher Lourens Architects as both a candidate architect and a candidate senior architectural technologist, where responsibilities included 3D modeling, presentation drawings, detailing, documentation for tender and construction, and managing social media presence. Mieke holds multiple degrees in architecture and property studies from the University of Cape Town, including a Master of Architecture.
