Capacity building in M&E, founder at EVAL

Sébastien Galea has diverse work experience in the field of monitoring and evaluation (M&E), capacity building, and project management. Sébastien'scareer highlights include founding EVAL in 2009, where they focused on capacity building in M&E. Prior to this, they served as the Head of the capacity development Unit at ADIE from September 2007 to October 2010. In this role, they were responsible for planning, monitoring, and evaluating effective programs at the regional level and designing M&E systems for pilot projects.

Sébastien also worked as a Long Term Observer for EuropeAid in February-March 2009 and as an M&E expert for The International Foundation for Electoral Systems in July-August 2007. At EuropeAid, they served as a Medium Term Observer from July to November 2006 and as a Long Term Observer from June to July 2006. Moreover, they worked as an M&E expert for ECORYS Research & Consulting in February-March 2006.

Earlier in their career, Sébastien held positions such as a Project Officer at the Mission des Nations Unies en République Démocratique du Congo from June to December 2005 and a Research Officer at Marketing Field, Action Plus from January 2004 to May 2005. Sébastien was also an M&E Officer for the International Labour Organization (ILO) - International Programme on the Elimination of Child Labour, where they monitored the implementation of a baseline survey and provided capacity building assistance to implementing agencies.

Sébastien's earliest work experience was as a Field Coordinator for Médecins Sans Frontières from July 1999 to April 2001. Overall, Sébastien Galea has gained extensive experience in M&E, capacity building, project management, and evaluation across various organizations and projects throughout their career.

Sébastien Galea's education history includes various academic achievements. From 2002 to 2003, they attended Université de Rennes I and completed a DESS degree in Evaluation de programmes: Industriels, Agricoles, Sociaux et de l'Environnement. Before that, from 1998 to 1999, they enrolled in Institut Bioforce Développement, where they pursued Relief & Development programme management studies. Sébastien also studied at the University of Hertfordshire from 1992 to 1996, earning a BA degree in European Business Studies. Additionally, they participated in an Erasmus program at Universidad de Málaga in 1994, focusing on International Economics.
