Salman Ansari, PhD has a diverse work experience spanning over various roles and industries. Salman started their career as a Post-Doctoral Research Officer at Cranfield University, where they focused on refining and expanding an aerodynamic model for insect-like flapping-wing aerodynamics. During this time, they also improved numerical algorithms and validated the model using experimental data. Salman then moved on to Meggitt Avionics as an Applied Research Engineer, where their responsibilities included innovating new air data products and technologies and developing them to the prototype stage. Salman'swork involved product design, testing, algorithm development, programming, and data analysis using signal processing techniques. Currently, Salman is employed at EValue, where they have held multiple positions, including Senior Quantitative Analyst and Senior Asset Consultant. In these roles, they were responsible for maintaining the eValue asset model, optimizing client portfolio asset allocations, generating reports, providing asset consulting to clients, and offering technical support for internal operations. Additionally, they administered several MongoDB databases and ran simulations on the eValue High Performance Computing Facilities. Salman then transitioned to become the Propositions Director, Director of Applied Research (Index Solutions), and currently serves as the Investment Solutions Director.
Salman Ansari, PhD, has a diverse education history. Salman pursued a PhD in Aerodynamics from Cranfield University, which they completed between 2000 and 2004. Before that, they obtained a BEng (Hons) degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Surrey during the period of 1996 to 1999. Additionally, they completed their A-Levels at Gambia High School, specializing in University of London Exams and Assessment Council (ULEAC) curriculum from 1994 to 1996.
Salman also pursued further education in finance, specializing in Fixed Income Markets and Bond Portfolio Management at the London Business School in 2015, and in Equity Portfolio Management at the same institution in 2014.
Salman Ansari has also obtained additional certifications, including a Financial Markets certification from Coursera, and scores of 69/100 (Proficient) in IKM C++ Programming and 81/100 (Strong) in IKM Python Programming from TeckChek (dba International Knowledge Measurement).
