Michael Owens

Michael Owens serves as the President & CEO of the U.S. Global Center for Cyber Policy since June 2017, overseeing a nonpartisan organization dedicated to analyzing and communicating cyber policy and legislation. Owens holds several advisory roles, including Advisory Board Member at NCS Madison Corp., CISO Executive Governing Body Member at Evanta, Georgia CISO Leadership Board Member at the Cybersecurity Collaboration Forum, and Partner at the Truman National Security Project. Formerly, Owens was the Business Information Security Officer at Equifax, where responsibilities included leading a comprehensive information security program for the legal organization and managing cyber risk for the company's largest business unit. Owens' extensive experience includes leadership positions at EY, Cox Communications, Cisco, and SITA, backed by advanced education from prestigious institutions, including a Doctorate in International Business and a Master of Science in Management of Technology.
