Simon Tong

Simon Tong serves as a UK & Ireland CISO Community Governing Body Member at Evanta, a Gartner Company, since January 2019, facilitating leadership development and peer-driven insights among top executives in cybersecurity. With a career at SLB beginning in 1993, Simon has held multiple key positions, including Cyber Security Governance Manager and Global IT Security Manager, focusing on IT security strategy and risk mitigation. Additional roles at SLB include EAF Area IT Manager and IT Infrastructure Architecture Manager, where Simon was responsible for aligning IT services with business needs and developing enterprise service roadmaps. Simon also chaired the Oil and Natural Gas Information Sharing and Analysis Center from April 2014 to May 2018, and has extensive experience in engineering and management roles within the oil and gas sector, holding a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Portsmouth.
