Umar H.

Umar H. currently serves as the Global Leader for IT Infrastructure and Cybersecurity at Mattr, overseeing a team of over 30 professionals across multiple regions since September 2023. In addition, Umar H. is a member of the Toronto CISO Governing Body for Evanta, a Gartner Company. Previously, Umar H. held the position of Senior Director of IT Operations and Cybersecurity at Staples Canada, managing a large team and supporting IT operations for numerous retail and corporate locations. Umar H. also has extensive experience from roles at Holt Renfrew, where strategic direction for IT infrastructure and cybersecurity was provided, and has contributed to various organizations in technical and engineering capacities, including Microsoft and IBM Canada Ltd. Educational qualifications include studies at the Cyber Leadership Institute and degrees from Schulich School of Business, DeVry University, and the Toronto School of Business.
