Msingathi M.

Msingathi M. has a diverse background in software engineering and quality assurance. Msingathi started their career as an Information Technology Intern at ICTGlobe Management (Pty) Ltd in 2015. From there, they moved on to roles at IBM, where they gained experience as an IT Graduate Software Engineer and Information Technology Software Engineer, focusing on software testing and systems analysis.

Msingathi then joined Nedbank as a Test Analyst in 2017, working on various projects within the bank as a QA engineer. During their time at Nedbank, they also worked in the ROA division, testing banking interfaces and designing test scenarios aligned with business requirements.

In 2018, Msingathi worked as a Systems & Data Senior Analyst at Nova Pioneer, where they performed data extraction, analysis, manipulation, and reporting. Msingathi also conducted systems functional testing, business intelligence tasks, and IT systems and data auditing.

In 2019, Msingathi worked as a Software Test Engineer at Absa Group, where they automated tasks performed by finance admin users on the Compass Planning Software system. Msingathi also performed system planning, data extraction, transformation, and loading using Java and Python frameworks.

Following their time at Absa Group, Msingathi worked as a Software Developer In Test at Investec, focusing on automation activities, application cloud deployment, and testing functionality through API and GUI tests. Msingathi also performed business analysis on ERP systems and generated test and status reports.

Most recently, in 2021, Msingathi worked as a Senior Software Quality Engineer at MethodData, where they applied software engineering best practices and test automation strategies using various tools and frameworks like Junit, Selenium, and Appium. Msingathi also performed test management, data analysis, and utilized Python test data frameworks.

Currently, they are a Software Engineer Quality Assurance at EVBox, where they focus on ensuring software quality and continues to apply their expertise in automated testing.

Msingathi M. has a Bachelor's degree in Computer Systems Engineering from Tshwane University of Technology. Msingathi also has a National Diploma (NDip) in Computer Systems Engineering from the same institution. Prior to that, they obtained a national senior certificate from Marymount Roman Catholic High School.

Currently, Msingathi is pursuing a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in IT governance at Nelson Mandela University. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications including the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner from Amazon Web Services (AWS), Introduction to Cybersecurity from Cisco, AZ-900: Microsoft Azure Fundamentals from Udemy, Python Automation and Testing from LinkedIn, Learning Digital Business Analysis from LinkedIn, Refactoring in Java from Udemy, and Exam 410: Installing and Configuring Windows Server 2012 from Microsoft.
