Stephen Tung

Stephen Tung has a diverse range of work experience in the software development industry. Stephen is currently employed at Event Store as a Developer Advocate. Prior to this, they worked at The Executive Centre as a Director Enterprise Software, where they held the role of Software Architect from 2019 to 2021. Stephen also has experience at C&R Holdings Limited, where they served as a Software Development Lead and Senior Software Developer from 2015 to 2019. During their time at C&R Holdings Limited, they played a key role in designing high performance and scalable software projects for clients such as the Hong Kong Jockey Club and Hong Kong Airport Authority. Additionally, Stephen has worked at IBM as a Senior Software Developer from 2011 to 2014, where they focused on search, validation, and report generation engines. Stephen also took on leadership responsibilities, leading a team of build engineers in continuous integration efforts. Stephen's career began in 2007 at Clarity Systems, where they worked as a Software Developer. Throughout their professional journey, Stephen has consistently demonstrated a commitment to driving best practices and code quality.

Stephen Tung completed their education from 2000 to 2005 at the University of Waterloo, where they obtained a degree in Mathematics with a field of study in Computer Science. In addition to their formal education, Stephen has also obtained two certifications: Professional Scrum Master I from Scrum.org in September 2017 and MongoDB Certified DBA Associate Level from MongoDB in May 2016.
