Eugene Chong has a diverse work experience. Eugene began their career in 2007 as a Sales Associate at Esprit. In 2010, they took on a Research Intern role at the National Core for Neuroethics, where they conducted a public opinion survey and analyzed and transformed collected data into tables and graphs. In 2012, they became a QA Analyst Co-op at UBC IT, where they were responsible for quality assurance and validation testing of services. In 2013, they took on a Research Intern role at the Centre for High-Throughput Biology (CHiBi). Finally, in 2016, they moved to Eventbase and held various roles, including Technical Product Manager, Solutions Engineer, Technical Lead, and Quality Assurance Analyst.

Eugene Chong attended The University of British Columbia from 2009 to 2014, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Cognitive Systems and Biochemistry. Eugene also attended the University of California, Santa Cruz from 2012 to 2013 as part of an exchange program, where they earned a Bachelors of Science.
