Norma Sheane

Norma Sheane has had a varied work experience over the past decade. Norma began their career in 2009 as a Banquet Server at Fire Fighters Public House, followed by a role as a Food Runner at Joe Fortes Seafood & Chop House in 2010. In 2017, they became a CrossFit Level 1 Teacher at Port Coquitlam CrossFit. In 2018, they worked as an Administrative Assistant at BCIT School of Business, and in 2016 they became a Certified Personal Trainer and Administrative Assistant at Function Health and Fitness. In 2021, Norma assumed the role of Junior Product Manager at Wisr AI. In 2020, they became the Administrative Manager to the Executive Director at AInBC, where they were also the Project Manager of Athena Pathways - a project aimed to help 500 more women enrolled into artificial intelligence courses, workshops and internships to help reduce the gender imbalance in this industry. Most recently in 2022, Norma began working as a Project Coordinator / Associate Producer at Eventbase.

Norma Sheane obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Anthropology from Kwantlen Polytechnic University between 2010 and 2015. Norma also holds certifications from Northeastern University, Pragmatic Institute, and BrainStation. These include Introduction to Machine Learning, PMC Level I, Product Management, and Inclusive Artificial Intelligence - Level 1, obtained in December 2021, December 2021, December 2021, and November 2020 respectively.
