Hazel Houben has extensive work experience in various roles. Hazel started their career at Barcode Recruitment Ltd in 2016 as a Bartender. Hazel then worked at The Old Abbey Inn from 2015 to 2020 in the same role. In 2020, they joined TELUS International Ireland as a German Customer Support Specialist, and later became a Learning and Development Specialist. Hazel joined Eventbrite in 2022 and has held positions as an Assisted Success Representative and currently as a Customer Success Specialist.

Hazel Houben began their education at Ursuline Convent Thurles in 2010 and completed their studies there in 2016. Hazel then went on to attend University College Cork from 2016 to 2020, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in World Languages with a focus on German and Spanish. During their time at University College Cork, Hazel also studied abroad at the University of Konstanz in 2019, where they pursued German Studies. In 2018-2019, they furthered their education at Universidad de Sevilla, earning a Bachelor's degree in Spanish and Linguistics.
