Principal Software Engineer at Eventbrite

Michael Amado has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Michael started their career in 2009 as a Search Engine Marketing Analyst at Eventbrite and later transitioned to a Business Analyst role. Over the years, they progressed to Senior Business Analyst, Business Analytics Manager, and eventually became the Business Intelligence Manager at Eventbrite. In 2015, Michael moved into a software engineering role at Eventbrite and worked their way up to Senior Software Engineer. In 2017, they advanced to the position of Senior Software Engineer II and eventually became an Entrepreneur In Residence at Eventbrite in 2018. Finally, in December 2020, they took on the role of Principal Software Engineer at Eventbrite. Prior to their career at Eventbrite, Michael also served as an Americorps Member at Edible Schoolyard from 2003 to 2004.

Michael Amado attended the University of California, Santa Cruz from 2004 to 2006, but did not obtain a degree or pursue any specific field of study during that time. Michael then transferred to the University of California, Berkeley, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Math and Statistics from 2006 to 2008. In terms of additional certifications, Michael obtained "Introduction to Data Science" from Coursera in September 2014, "Computing for Data Analysis" from Coursera Verified Certificates in February 2014, and "An Introduction to Interactive Programming in Python" from Coursera Verified Certificates in June 2013.
