Nate Schier

Nate Schier has a diverse work history with experience in software engineering, co-founding a digital innovation lab, and working in the recruiting and education sectors. Nate is currently a Staff Software Engineer at Eventbrite, where they previously held the role of Senior Software Engineer. Prior to Eventbrite, Nate worked at ToneDen, a social marketing automation platform that was acquired by Eventbrite in 2020. Nate also had a period of contract and self-employment as a Javascript Engineer. Nate co-founded Sidebench, a digital innovation lab and startup venture studio, where they worked for five years before leaving to focus on their personal engineering skills. In 2011, they were the first employee at Elm Talent Group, where they played a pivotal role in the recruiting process. Nate also has experience in education, having worked as an ESL Center Manager at Hawaii Literacy. Nate started their career as a Student Consultant at Pomona College Information Technology Services.

Nate Schier has a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Pomona College. Nate also completed a Summer Language Program in Chinese at Peking University and a Fall Semester Study Abroad program in Economics at The University of Edinburgh.
