George Postolos has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. George started their career as a Clerk at the Supreme Court of Texas in 1990 and later worked as an Associate at Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz from 1991 to 1996. In 1997, they became a Special Assistant to the Commissioner at the National Basketball Association.
From 1998 to 2006, Postolos served as President and CEO, as well as COO, of the Houston Rockets. During their tenure, they played a significant role in tripling the franchise's value, developing the Toyota Center, and securing a television rights agreement.
In 2006, Postolos founded The Postolos Group LP, where they held the position of President & CEO.
George then became President and CEO of the Houston Astros in 2011, where they oversaw the acquisition of the franchise and successfully transformed it from a money-losing business to a profitable one with a strong talent base.
In 2014, Postolos co-founded Acquire Sports LLC, a company focused on assisting clients with the acquisition and sale of professional sports franchises and business strategy.
Since 2015, they have been the Managing Director and Co-Owner of Eventellect, a company specializing in ticket management for sports and live events.
George Postolos obtained their A.B. degree in Political Theory from Harvard University, which they pursued from 1982 to 1986. Later, between 1987 and 1990, they attended Harvard Law School, where they obtained their JD degree in Law.
