Cem has nearly 20 years of experience in the conferences and events industry, with a specific focus on the professional, legal, and finance sectors. Prior to founding Eventogy in 2013, Cem was the Director of demoMedia, a digital communications agency that provided design, brand management, and advertising services. Cem also worked as a Corporate Internet Consultant at Deutsche Bank from 2000 to 2005.

Cem Kocu obtained a BA Hons degree in Architecture from London South Bank University, graduating between 1994 and 1997.
