Matyas Tamas

Matyas Tamas has a long and varied work experience. Starting in 2008, they founded and ran the US subsidiary of Oceanize, Inc., a Japanese advertising company. In 2010, they founded the data science team at Quora, and was the Head of Analytics for the Growth Team from 2011-2013. In 2014, they joined Uber as the Head of Supply Data Science, and acted as Data Science Tech Lead for the Network Optimization group from 2014-2015. In 2016, they co-founded Ontiq. In 2017, they became the Director of Machine Learning & Data Science at Manifold, and in 2020 they became the Head of Data Science at EvenUp.

Matyas Tamas attended Phillips Exeter Academy from 1999 to 2001. In 2002, they began their studies at Caltech, where they earned a BS in Physics in 2006. In 2003, they were awarded the UCSF School of Medicine Summer Research Fellowship.
