Shmuel Blitz

Shmuel Blitz has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Shmuel'smost recent role is as a Software Team Lead at EverC, starting in 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Similarweb from 2017 to 2022, holding multiple positions including Big Data Engineering Team Lead, Big Data and Algorithms Team Leader, and Big Data Engineer. At Similarweb, they were responsible for building big-data pipelines, collaborating with product managers, managing a team of data scientists and engineers, and developing and maintaining Big Data tasks.

Before their time at Similarweb, Shmuel worked at Seculert from 2015 to 2017 as a Java Backend Developer, where they developed and maintained a Java Hadoop application for finding malware in corporate networks. Shmuel also worked at Cisco Systems from 2011 to 2015, first as a Software Engineer responsible for Java/Scala development and later as a Software Engineer focusing on software infrastructure libraries and product development.

Shmuel's earlier experience includes working at Tick Tec Technologies as a Server Manager and Software-Developer from 2009 to 2011, where they handled the installation and configuration of Windows XP computers for Internet café terminals. Additionally, they held leadership roles at the Students Association at Jerusalem College of Technology, serving as President from 2010 to 2011 and Vice President from 2010 to 2010. In these roles, they led the association, communicated and negotiated with the school's management, and worked to improve the school's academic administration.

Shmuel Blitz completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Software Engineering from Lev Academic Center, from 2008 to 2011. Shmuel went on to pursue a Master of Science (M.Sc) degree in Computer Science (DNF) from Bar-Ilan University, from 2011 to 2013. In addition to their academic qualifications, Shmuel Blitz obtained a certification in SimilarWeb Market Intelligence from SimilarWeb in November 2017.
