Alyssa (Bass) Ems

Alyssa (Bass) Ems has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and industries. Alyssa started their career as an America Reads Student Coordinator at Capital University in 2013 and moved on to work as a Head Start Teacher at Neighborhood Centers Inc. from 2014 to 2016. Alyssa then joined Teach For America Houston as a School Operations Manager, where they designed and implemented systems for communication, visitation, assignment collection, and time management. Alyssa also collected and analyzed survey data to modify existing systems. In 2015, Alyssa briefly served as a School Operations Manager at Teach For America Houston. Afterwards, they worked at Teach For America as a School Operations Director from 2017 to 2018, overseeing school operations and managing a team of operations managers and interns. In 2016, Alyssa transitioned into a Prekindergarten Teacher role at Houston ISD, where they taught until 2019. Alyssa furthered their teaching career by becoming a Kindergarten Teacher at Franklin Public School District from 2019 to 2022. Most recently, in 2023, Alyssa joined EverDriven as an Account Manager, utilizing their skills in managing accounts and building relationships with clients.

Alyssa (Bass) Ems graduated from Capital University in 2014 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Early Childhood Education. In October 2014, they obtained a Texas Educator Certificate, Generalist EC-6 from the Texas Education Agency. In May 2019, they obtained a Teaching License- Regular Education (EC-6) from the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction. Additionally, Alyssa holds a certification for English as a Second Language Teacher from the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction, but the month and year of obtaining this certification are not provided.
