James Crotty

James Crotty is an experienced executive with a diverse background in finance and risk management. Currently serving as the Independent Non-Executive Chair of JPMorgan Wholesale Payments Europe since August 2019, Crotty also holds positions as Independent Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Risk Committee at Everest Re Ireland and as an Independent Non-Executive Director at Aioi Nissay Dowa Insurance Europe. In addition, Crotty is a Business Advisor at Stanford University’s Stanford Institute for Innovation in Developing Economies and has a history of contributions as an International Advisory Board Member at Open University Business School. Previous experience includes roles at Swiss Re and Hiscox UK, as well as a long tenure at American Express encompassing various senior leadership positions. Crotty holds an MBA from Alliance Manchester Business School, an MSc from UCL, and a BE from University College Cork.
