Markus Heizmann

Markus Heizmann is an experienced insurance professional with a robust background in credit and surety underwriting. Since October 2017, Markus has served as the Head of Credit and Surety at Everest Reinsurance Company. Prior to this role, Markus held the position of Senior Underwriter Credit & Bond at AXIS Re from February 2015 to September 2017. Markus also accumulated significant experience at PartnerRe from September 2001 to January 2015, where responsibilities included Senior Underwriter, membership in Senior Management, and Deputy Head of Department. Earlier in the career, Markus worked in various credit insurance companies from 1991 to 2001, covering roles such as Head of Policy Underwriting, Head of Claims and Recoveries, and Sales Management, as well as starting in reinsurance as a Credit and Surety underwriter from 1986 to 1991.
