Rui T. currently serves as the VP and Head of Portfolio Management & Analysis at Everest since June 2022, focusing on underwriting strategy formulation and risk management. Prior to this, Rui T. held the position of Director of Corporate Underwriting - Portfolio Management and Analytics at AIG from February 2013 to June 2022, where responsibilities included managing a $5 billion global commercial property insurance portfolio and leading pricing actuarial functions for a North American segment with an annual premium close to $1 billion. Rui T. also has experience as a reserving actuary and in enterprise risk management, implementing proprietary models to analyze pricing and underwriting risks. Early career experiences include roles at Presidential Life and internships at the University of Queensland and China Merchants Securities Co., Ltd. Rui T. earned a Master of Science in Actuarial Science from Columbia University and holds bachelor's degrees in Economics and Finance from The University of Queensland and Sun Yat-sen University, respectively.
