Steve Berntsen

Steve Berntsen has extensive experience in the insurance and reinsurance sectors, currently serving as Vice President of Treaty Casualty and Professional Liability at Everest Reinsurance since January 2013. In this role, Steve develops and manages a Treaty portfolio that focuses on areas such as Professional Liability and Cyber business. Prior to this, Steve held the position of 2nd Vice President at United States Liability Insurance Group from 2008 to 2013, leading teams in product development and underwriting for Commercial and Non-Profit Package business. Steve's earlier experience includes a Vice President role at Towers Watson, specializing in the placement of Professional Liability, and a Vice President position at Munich Reinsurance America, where oversight of the Professional Liability portfolio was a key responsibility. Steve holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Management from Commonwealth University-Bloomsburg.
