Khalia Murray has a diverse work experience in the field of education. Khalia is currently serving as an Education Partnerships Specialist at EVERFI since July 2023. Prior to this role, they worked as a K-12 Implementation Specialist at EVERFI from July 2022 to July 2023.
In 2020, Khalia founded their own venture called Ms. Murray's Corner, where they continue to be involved. Before that, they worked as an Interventionist at KIPP Metro Atlanta Schools from June 2020 to July 2022, and as a Kindergarten Teacher from June 2019 to June 2020.
Khalia also worked as an Adjunct Instructor at Georgia State University from 2021 to 2022. Khalia served as a Kindergarten Teacher at Resurgence Hall from 2018 to 2019, and had multiple roles at DC Prep from 2015 to 2018, including Grade Level Leader and Pre-Kindergarten Teacher.
Furthermore, Khalia has been involved in various professional activities. Khalia was a Panelist at the National Charter School Conference organized by the National Alliance for Public Charter Schools in June 2017. Khalia also worked as a UNCF K-12 Education Fellow at Building Excellent Schools in 2014 and at UNCF in the same position in the same year.
Khalia Murray holds a Master of Arts in Teaching (M.A.T) degree in Early Childhood Education from Relay Graduate School of Education. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Political Science from Spelman College. Khalia also participated in a Study Abroad program at Universidad de Málaga, focusing on Spanish Language and Literature. Khalia completed their high school education at Teaneck High School, where they obtained their High School Diploma. In addition to their formal education, Khalia has obtained several certifications, including Apple Teacher from Apple, Elearning Essentials: Instructional Design from LinkedIn, and Clever Academy from Clever Inc.
