Rita Aywello is a human rights lawyer with a comprehensive background in legal practice and advocacy. They served as a Program Manager at Adam Smith International from 2018 to 2020 and held various roles including Legal Intern at Amnesty Commission Uganda and Legal Officer at Platform for Social Justice, where they focused on providing legal support to victims of torture. Rita’s legal career includes work as a Lawyer at Abbas Advocates and as Legal Officer at FIDA Uganda, where they managed legal services and supported marginalised communities. Currently, they are the Girl Talk Uganda Coordinator at Choose Yourself International and serve as the Legal & Communications Officer at EverFree. Rita holds a Bachelor's Degree in Law from Makerere University and a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Law Development Centre.
