David Lai

David Lai has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Starting in 2004, they worked as a Help Desk Supervisor at the University of New South Wales. David then joined Apple Inc. in 2005 as an AppleCare Technical Consultant, where they provided technical support and received awards for outstanding performance. From 2007 to 2010, David worked at Logica as a Web Applications Team Leader, responsible for front-end and back-end development and system testing. David then transitioned to Create Studios as a Front End Web Developer, focusing on website development and integration with content management systems. At Adrenalin Media from 2014 to 2016, David worked as a Senior UI Developer, collaborating with UX, Design, and Development teams and applying a mobile-first approach to responsive web development. In 2016, they joined The Search Party as a Senior Front-End Developer, contributing to website redesign, global styles update, and prototype development. David then worked at Chuffed.org from 2017 to 2019 as a Front-End Developer, applying a component-based approach and refining the internal design system. Most recently, they joined the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) in 2019 as a Web Developer (Front End), where they built a new web platform and maintained a React-based UI component library. Currently, David is working at Evergen as a Front End Engineer.

David Lai completed their Bachelor of Science (Computer Science) degree at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) from 2002 to 2005. David'sarea of focus during this program was Human Computer Interaction. In 2011, David pursued further education and obtained a Diploma of Information Technology in Website Development from TAFE NSW, North Sydney College.
