Mark Dewitt

Mark DeWitt's work experience includes a role as Chief Advancement Officer at Evergreen Commons starting in April 2023. Prior to this, they had a brief period of early retirement and was seeking a new calling. From 2005 to 2022, Mark worked at Hope College, where they held various roles including Senior Philanthropy Advisor, Senior Director of Principal Gifts, and Senior Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations. Before their time at Hope College, Mark worked as an Adjunct Professor at Grand Rapids Community College, a Michigan Territory representative at Cengage, and in Business Development at Wolters Kluwer CCH NZ. Mark also has experience as an Account Representative at Iron Mountain (formerly Database of Chicago), an Account Executive at THG International, and a Marketing Manager at Blockbuster.

Mark DeWitt has an Executive Certificate in Nonprofit Leadership and Management from the University of Notre Dame - Mendoza College of Business, which they obtained in 2021. Prior to that, they completed a Master of Management in Marketing at Aquinas College - Grand Rapids, a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology at Hope College, and a Master's track in Management of Information Systems at Keller Graduate School of Management of DeVry University. In addition, Mark DeWitt has obtained the CFRE certification from CFRE International in June 2017.
