John Dawson is a highly experienced Commissioning Engineer at MAN Energy Solutions, where responsibilities include onshore and offshore work, commissioning of rotating equipment, programming and instrumentation, as well as mechanical service, breakdown, and upgrades since June 2011. Previously, John served as an Electrical Field Engineer, focusing on diesel engine management and protection systems, power management systems, PLC, governor set-up and installation, and commissioning rebuilds. Prior to this role, John worked as an Electrical Engineer at Royston from December 2005 to June 2011. John holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Leeds Beckett University, attained between 2009 and 2012, and received prior education at Newcastle College and South Tyneside College.
