Senior Cloud Ops Engineer at EverOps

Matthew Kinley has a diverse range of work experience. Matthew started their career at KSU Information Technology Services as a Service Desk Analyst, providing software and IT technical support to over 25,000 users. During their time there, they also supported the implementation of a new online identity system and won the Gold Award for customer service.

After KSU, Matthew joined Routematch as a Customer Support Specialist, where they provided technical support for their software to transit agencies in the USA, Canada, and Australia. Matthew supported various applications and systems, including Windows Desktop applications, Citrix Xenapp, Microsoft RDS, and GIS mapping software.

Within Routematch, Matthew took on the role of Upgrades Technical Consultant, managing upgrade projects for enterprise clients and overseeing software deployments. Matthew also built environments for user acceptance testing.

In 2017, Matthew transitioned to the role of Cloud Services Engineer at Routematch, leading the migration of the company's cloud-based deployments to AWS for North American and Australian clients. Matthew played a crucial role in building the cloud architecture and contributed to the successful acquisition of the business by Uber.

In 2020, Matthew joined Cox Media Group as a Technical Analyst III, Cloud Center of Excellence. Matthew played a major role in migrating the company's data center to AWS, setting up AWS Transit Gateway to establish connectivity between the new cloud environment and over 40 remote site locations for TV and radio. Matthew also developed cloud architecture and created DevOps capabilities that enabled Cox Media to separate from its parent.

Most recently, Matthew has joined EverOps as a Cloud Ops Engineer in 2021.

Matthew Kinley obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree with a focus on Information Systems from Kennesaw State University in 2015. In terms of additional certifications, they became an AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate in June 2019 and an AWS Certified Developer - Associate in August 2019. In July 2021, they also attained the HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate certification. More recently, in April 2023, Matthew obtained the AWS Certified SysOps Administrator - Associate certification, followed by the AWS Certified Security - Specialty certification in May 2023. Finally, in June 2023, they achieved the AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional certification.
