Christopher Hurld

Christopher Hurld has a diverse and extensive work experience in the legal field. Christopher currently serves as the Chief Compliance Officer and Deputy General Counsel at EverQuote, where they provide legal advice and support in areas such as compliance with regulations, contract negotiation, dispute resolution, and litigation management. Prior to their current role, they worked as an Assistant General Counsel at EverQuote.

Before joining EverQuote, Christopher worked as a Counsel at JONES DAY®, specializing in cybersecurity, data privacy, data breach response, and complex business litigation. In this role, they helped clients navigate breach containment, investigation, remediation, and notification processes. Christopher also advised on compliance with data privacy and cybersecurity laws.

Christopher began their legal career as an Associate at Bernkopf Goodman LLP, where they handled various legal matters. Christopher also gained valuable experience as an Assistant Attorney General at the Appeals Division of the Massachusetts Attorney General's Office. In this role, they represented the state in criminal appeals, civil suits, and other legal proceedings. Christopher provided legal research and advice on legislative proposals and criminal prosecutions, and served on important task forces.

Earlier in their career, Christopher worked as an Associate at Henshon Parker, LLP, advising corporate clients on commercial litigation, employment issues, and other legal matters. Christopher also represented clients in labor law suits and arbitrations. Prior to that, they worked as a Litigation Associate at Bingham McCutchen, where they handled a range of litigation cases and provided counsel on professional responsibility issues.

Christopher has a comprehensive understanding of legal regulations, compliance, and litigation management. Christopher has experience in data privacy and cybersecurity, as well as legal research and advice. Christopher Hurld graduated from Georgetown University Law Center in 2005 with a Doctor of Law (JD) degree. Prior to that, they attended Bates College from 1996 to 2000, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in History. Before entering college, Christopher completed their high school education at Boston Latin School from 1990 to 1996.
