Dan Barrington has a strong background in software engineering and leadership roles. Dan started their career as a Software Engineer at UMass Transit Services from December 2011 to February 2014. During this time, they gained experience in software engineering.

In February 2014, they joined EverQuote as a Software Engineer. Dan worked on a full-stack capacity to build and maintain a large-scale Ruby on Rails application for EverQuote's main consumer-facing website. Dan served in this role until December 2015.

In December 2015, Dan became a Technical Lead at EverQuote and spearheaded the engineering effort to build the company's Home Insurance product from scratch. Dan reported progress directly to the CEO and CTO and worked in a cross-functional team. Dan held this role until March 2017.

From April 2017 to February 2018, Dan worked as a Senior Software Engineer at EverQuote. After that, they became a Software Engineering Manager in March 2018. In this role, they managed a team of engineers and led the rebuilding and expansion of EverQuote's suite of telephony products. Dan worked with various teams to plan, direct, and engineer projects that resulted in significant revenue growth. Dan also played a key role in extracting legacy calls logic into Golang microservices. Dan held this position until January 2021.

In January 2021, Dan transitioned to the role of Technical Lead at EverQuote. Dan served as the lead for the Consumer Engagement initiative and acted as the project lead on high-priority projects. Dan'sresponsibilities included coordinating, expanding, and optimizing consumer outreach strategies by creating services and features for consumer outreach testing in collaboration with analysts and product managers.

Dan Barrington attended the University of Massachusetts Amherst from 2010 to 2014 where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science.
