Ivan Santos

Ivan Santos is a seasoned software engineer with over a decade of experience in various organizations. 👨‍💻 currently holds the position of Principal Software Engineer - Platform Engineering at EverQuote since November 2020. Prior to this, Ivan worked at Episource LLC as a Senior Software Engineer | Tech Lead (Full Stack) from August 2019 to November 2020. At Episource, they supervised, managed, and led a team of 4 peers in developing a robust re-platforming for the analytics product, resulting in increased deployment frequency and lead time for changes in both back-end and front-end applications. Prior to Zillow Group, Ivan worked at Liferay Cloud, Inc. as a Software Engineer III from August 2016 to July 2018. During their tenure, they developed multiple libraries to improve engineering development with JavaScript and built server-rendered console applications with Javascript and NodeJS. Ivan also developed an Orchestrator API for data management and Docker scheduling.

Before joining Liferay Cloud, Ivan held the position of Lead Software Engineer at tidy.com. 👨‍💻 played a crucial role in architecting pipelines and container infrastructure for back-end and front-end applications. Ivan also facilitated team hiring and growth towards remote work and hiring in multiple countries. 👨‍💻 developed recurring scheduling features and developed infrastructure and APIs for Scheduling and Billing with Stripe. 👨‍💻 'sefforts helped in increasing the customer base to tens of thousands and achieving 10 million dollars in annual revenue. 👨‍💻 also developed an intelligent task assignment system to manage customer requests, considering scheduling availability by service providers.

Ivan Santos started their professional journey as a Senior Software Engineer at Enjoy A.D in 2013, where they developed websites using WordPress and created WordPress plugins. Prior to that, they worked as a Software Engineer at Miraklon from 2012 to 2013, where they contributed to research activities on Software of Manager and Service-Oriented Architectures concepts, developed front-end interaction with JavaScript, and built back-end solutions with Ruby on Rails.

Ivan Santos completed their Bachelor's degree in Computer Systems Analysis from Centro Universitário Cesmac from the year 2008 to 2012. In 2015, they pursued a language program in English as a Second Language at Aston International Academy. Ivan also took a training program in Design Thinking and Computer Programming at Action Innovation Center. Furthermore, they received training in Computer Software Engineering from HOWTO.

In terms of certifications, Ivan obtained a certification in Threat Modeling and Security Testing for applications from Vertical Structure Ltd in May 2021. 👨‍💻 also received a certification in Learning RxJS from LinkedIn in March 2019.
