Mike Atlas

Mike Atlas has a diverse work experience, starting with their current role as a Software Engineering Manager at EverQuote since April 2023. Prior to that, they served as a Principal Software Engineer at EverQuote from August 2021 to the present. Before joining EverQuote, Mike worked as a Senior Software Engineer II at EverQuote from January 2020 to August 2021.

Earlier in their career, Mike was a Lead Software Engineer at Rapid7 from October 2017 to December 2019. At Rapid7, they played a key role in rearchitecting and enhancing Komand, which is now known as InsightConnect. Mike transformed it from an on-prem limited-scale design into a multi-tenant, multi-region, highly scalable cloud offering on the Rapid7 platform. Mike'sresponsibilities included various project work such as data layer abstraction, authentication enhancements, and implementation of cryptographic message syntax. Mike utilized a wide range of technologies including Go, Docker, PostgreSQL, Redis, Terraform, Kubernetes, and AWS services.

From October 2015 to September 2017, Mike worked as a Senior Software Architect at Jisto Inc. There, they contributed to the design and development of a cluster workload scheduler and a full-stack web application for administration and monitoring of the cluster and scheduler. The tech stack at Jisto Inc. included Go, Docker, Mesos, React/Redux, PostgreSQL, and Node.

In 2014, Mike served as the VP of Software Engineering at Weft, an IoT logistics startup. Mike was involved in building analytics and end-to-end asset delivery tracking systems using AngularJS, Leaflet.js, RoR, PostGIS, and Node.

Before that, Mike was the Manager of Engineering Operations at EightSpokes from January 2013 to August 2014.

Mike began their career as an Applications Engineer at Oracle from October 2010 to January 2013, followed by a role as an Applications Engineer at Phase Forward from July 2008 to October 2010. Prior to that, Mike gained experience as a Software Engineer - Intern during their cooperative education programs at Phase Forward, Inc., Basis Technology, and Verivo (formerly known as Pyxis Mobile) between 2005 and 2007.

Mike Atlas has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science from Northeastern University. Additionally, they obtained certification as an Open Water Diver from PADI in April 2015. No specific start or end years are provided for their education at Northeastern University.
