David Velez

David Velez is an experienced professional in electric field operations and project management, currently serving as the Director of Electric Field Operations at Eversource Energy since January 2016, and previously held the role of Manager in the same department. Between August 2012 and January 2016, David worked at NSTAR, managing capital transmission line and substation construction projects. Prior experience includes leading the OpenCape project as a Project Manager at WFI, overseeing wind energy facility development at First Wind, and managing site acquisition and development for Verizon Wireless at VitalSite Services Inc. David began a career in public relations at Mason & Madison Public Relations as an Account Executive. David holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications from Syracuse University, obtained in 1998.
