John Kim

John Kim is the Founder and Managing Partner at Brewer Lane Ventures, an early stage fintech venture capital firm in Boston, where they have been since 2019. They are also a member of the Board of Trustees at Eversource Energy and serve on the Board of Directors at Franklin Templeton. Previously, Kim was President at Prudential Retirement from 2002 to 2007, leading the integration of CIGNA and Prudential’s retirement businesses. Their extensive experience includes a decade at New York Life Insurance Company, where they held various leadership roles, including President and Chief Investment Officer. Kim earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Michigan and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Connecticut.
