Omer Ibrahim

Omer Ibrahim, MSc, PMP®, is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in substation engineering and project management. Currently serving as a Senior Engineer in Substation Engineering & Design at Eversource Energy since October 2022, Omer previously held the position of Senior Engineer in Engineering Services at Qatar General Electricity & Water Corporation (Kahramaa) from February 2003 to January 2022, specializing in the preparation of scope of works and specifications for power transformers and GIS systems. Earlier experience includes a role as Project Engineer at Saudi Electricity Company, focusing on the review and approval of design and material submittals for 132kV substations, and as Substation Engineer at the National Electricity Corporation of Sudan, overseeing the operation and maintenance of high voltage substations. Omer holds a Master of Science in Electrical Power Systems from the University of Bath and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Khartoum.
