Smith has held the position of Transmission System Supervisor for bulk power dispatch, achieving NERC certification, overseeing transmission system reliability, and managing emergency response protocols. Prior experience includes technical training supervision and engineering roles at NSTAR, where Smith contributed to training programs and the development of underground electrical distribution standards. Earlier career stages involved field engineering at General Electric, specializing in temporary power distribution.
