Wayne Vargas

Wayne Vargas is a highly experienced Senior Project Manager specializing in transmission and electrical substations, currently employed at Eversource Energy since March 2021. With a strong background in project management, Vargas has coordinated numerous critical projects, including transmission structure replacements and large distribution transformer installations. Prior to Eversource, Vargas held senior project management roles at National Computing Group and CE Power, overseeing substantial electrical installations and equipment commissioning. Experience extends to GE Power and Siemens Industry, where Vargas managed large-scale system projects in mining and power generation, including the application of Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs). Vargas began a career at Exelon Nuclear, where responsibilities encompassed project management and engineering of electric motors and circuit breakers across multiple nuclear power stations. Vargas earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology.
