Shawn Whaley

Shawn Whaley has over 25 years of professional experience in the semiconductor industry. In 1995, they began their career as a Process Engineer at Applied Materials. Shawn then went on to become the Lab Manager at Arizona State University in 2002. In 2005, they became a Process Engineer at Brillian and then a Senior Process Engineer at ASM America in 2007. In 2011, they became a Sr. Process Engineer at ASM, and in 2016 they became the Chief Engineering Officer at SiO2 Innovates LLC. Currently, they are a Thin Films Process Engineer at Everspin Technologies since 2022.

Shawn Whaley obtained their BS in Physics from Missouri University of Science and Technology between 1987 and 1991. Shawn then went on to obtain their MS in Physics from Arizona State University between 1992 and 1995. Finally, they obtained their PhD in Physics from Arizona State University between 2008 and 2011.
