John Ripley

Sr. Director - Data Architecture at Everstream Analytics

John Ripley has extensive work experience in the field of technology and engineering. John began their career as a Programmer Analyst at the Royal Canadian Mounted Police in 1993, where they designed and implemented the Violent Crime Linkage Analysis System.

In 1995, John started their own freelance development business, Ripley Consulting Services. John worked as a Freelance Developer, providing development services to various clients until 1998.

From 1996 to 1998, they also worked as a Freelance Instructor at Learning Tree International, where they taught various technology courses.

In 1998, John joined Infoglide Software as the Chief Software Architect. John led and mentored the entire technology and engineering team for 15 years. During their time at Infoglide Software, they worked on projects such as the Identity Resolution Engine and MinorMonitor, utilizing technologies such as Java, XML, JSON, REST, and NLP.

In 2013, FICO acquired Infoglide Software, and John continued their work as a Principal Architect. John'sresponsibilities included applying FICO's platforms, tools, and analytics to solve complex data-centric problems. John worked on projects involving distributed similarity indices, high-performance data ingestion pipelines, and product/software architecture. John utilized technologies such as Hazelcast, Ignite, RabbitMQ, and various data input streams.

In 2022, John joined Everstream Analytics as the Senior Director of Data Architecture.

John Ripley attended the Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology from 1989 to 1993. John pursued a 4-year degree in Computer Science during their time at the institution. In December 2016, John obtained the AWS Certified Solution Architect - Associate certification from Amazon.
