Karim E. Jaén, PhD, is a Bioprocess Upstream Specialist with extensive experience in bioprocess engineering. They served as a Trainee and Validation Specialist at PiSA Farmacéutica, where they focused on pharmaceutical process compliance and automation. Subsequently, Karim worked as a Bioprocess Engineer at Fusix Biotech, leveraging expertise from leading institutions for developing innovative oncotherapeutics, and was involved in recombinant protein production at Instituto de Biotecnología UNAM. Currently, they are the R&D In Vitro Glycoengineering Director at eversyn GmbH, after holding the position of Technology Developer. Karim holds a PhD in Natural Sciences and Engineering from UAM Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana and a Master of Engineering in Bioprocesses from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México.
