Gregory (Greg) Hoeg is an insurance industry expert having more than 35 years of experience serving in corporate and consulting roles spearheading strategic planning, operations management, business process reengineering, organization planning and design, competitive analysis and performance measurement/benchmarking. Greg manages Hoeg & Company, Ltd., a specialty management consulting firm offering services to the insurance industry primarily related to his proprietary benchmarking analyses based on Efficient Frontier Analysis.

Prior to managing his own firm, Greg lead the insurance practice of J.D. Power expanding its product set and client base, thus improving its profitability. Prior to that, Greg was the Chief Strategy & Administrative Officer of Companion P&C Group, where he led in the turn around and restructuring of the company, its management team and book of business, preparing it for and leading it through its sale, while directly managing the company’s $400 million fronting business.

Previously, Mr. Hoeg held various senior executive strategy positions at companies including Willis Group Holdings, Ltd. and American Reinsurance Company. He also held several senior management consulting roles in the insurance practices of firms including A.T. Kearney, Accenture and McKinsey & Co. Early in his career, Greg held claim and litigation management positions with Chubb, Home and Travelers insurance companies while completing his graduate studies.

Greg has been published and quoted numerous times in various leading industry publications primarily writing about issues and trends in insurance competition, management, analytics, sales and distribution.

Greg earned his B.A. in political science from Purdue University, a J.D. in law from Widener University and an M.B.A. in financial economics from Pace University. He is a licensed attorney in Connecticut.
