Daniel Barba

Daniel Barba has a comprehensive work experience in the financial and technology sectors. Daniel started their career at BAC|Credomatic in 2007, where they worked as a Financial Analyst for the VP of Merchant Acquiring. From there, they progressed to become the Regional Head Corporate Business and later the Merchant Services Manager for Central America.

In 2014, Barba joined Evertec as the Senior Product Manager for Transaction Processing. Their responsibilities included client retention and overseeing a team of 82 employees. Daniel then served as the VP of Products & Marketing for Latin America, where they played a key role in driving business growth. In 2019, they were promoted to the role of VP, Merchant Acquiring & Processing for Latin America, responsible for leading the development and installation of new corporate Cards and Merchants Processing Solution across the region.

Most recently, Barba was appointed as the SVP & General Director for BBR at Evertec, overseeing the software and services for retailers and financial transactions in the LATAM region. Throughout their career, they worked closely with various banks and fintech companies in implementing acquiring networks and issuing processing platforms.

Daniel Barba has completed the Leadership Program at The Wharton School. Daniel has also obtained an MBA in Business Administration and Management from Universitat Internacional de Catalunya. In addition, Daniel pursued studies in Business Administration at Universidad de Costa Rica UCR, and English Language and Literature/Letters at Long Beach City College.
