Eoin Boylan

Head of Engineering at Evervault

Eoin Boylan is the Head of Engineering at Evervault. Eoin has over four years of experience in software engineering and has worked with various programming languages and frameworks including Java, Python, and React.

Eoin started their career at Poppulo (formerly Newsweaver) in 2016 as a Software Engineer. Eoin worked mainly on deconstructing a large monolithic Java Spring web application into a microservice architecture running on Kubernetes. Eoin also developed new customer-facing features in Java with the Dropwizard microservice framework and Angular 5. In addition, they built in monitoring and application metrics using Prometheus and Kibana.

In 2018, Eoin moved to Fresco as a Full Stack Engineer. Eoin was the lead developer on migrating legacy backbone SPA application to React using piecemeal migration strategy. Eoin also used customer feedback to create new features and products that allowed the creation of content on the Drop platform. In addition, Eoin was the lead developer of machine learning platform to annotate, train and execute ML models use continuous feedback loops of annotated data to retrain and deploy models.

Eoin joined Evervault in 2019 as the Head of Engineering. In their current role, they are responsible for leading the engineering team and overseeing all engineering operations.

Eoin Boylan pursued a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at University College Cork. Eoin also attended Colaiste Spraoid Naiomh.

Some direct reports include Liam Farrelly - Engineer, Edmundo Santos - Design Engineer, and Deirdre Cleary - Engineer. Their manager is Shane Curran, Founder & CEO. They are on a team with Phil Watson - Head of Sales, Mark McDonnell - Finance, and Louise Thomsson - Sales.
