At EveryPet, we believe no one should ever have to choose between caring for their pet and affording life’s other necessities. Our mission is simple yet powerful: to make veterinary care affordable and accessible to all while saving lives by keeping pets in homes and out of shelters.

Founded in 2002 as First Coast No More Homeless Pets, EveryPet was born out of a crisis—when more than 23,000 animals were being euthanized each year in Jacksonville shelters. Guided by our founder, Rick Ducharme, and his vision for targeted, community-focused spay/neuter programs, we’ve grown from a grassroots voucher initiative into a nationally recognized leader in animal welfare.

Today, EveryPet operates the nation’s largest spay/neuter clinic, performing more than 20,000 surgeries annually. Our Norwood Spay/Neuter Center and Cassat Avenue Regional Veterinary Hospital provide lifesaving, low-cost veterinary services to tens of thousands of pets each year—ensuring families never have to give up a beloved companion due to financial hardship.

We are not a shelter, but we strengthen shelters and communities alike through programs like our Pet Food Bank, feral/community cat initiatives, and accessible preventive care. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we remain steadfast in our No-Kill mission, working every day toward a future where every pet has the chance to thrive.
