Michael Capps

Michael Capps is an experienced leader in various fields, including AI, video games, defense, RPGs, and wristwatches. They founded and served as President of Scion Studios, taking the helm at Epic Games, where they significantly expanded the company and oversaw the development of the Unreal Engine and the billion-dollar game franchise Gears of War. Capps has also held advisory and board positions at numerous organizations, including the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences, IGDA, and Unity Technologies. Currently, they serve as Executive Chair at EveryWatch and CEO of Howso, a technology startup focused on trustworthy AI solutions. Capps holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Naval Postgraduate School and multiple degrees from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
