Philip Decter

Philip Decter is the Director of the Quality Improvement Center on Helplines and Hotlines and has held the position of Director of Child Welfare at Evident Change since 2018. With 20 years of experience as a social worker and family therapist, Philip has worked in various settings including inpatient, outpatient, home-based, foster care, and emergency rooms. They have also served as Interim Director of Child Welfare at NCCD, where they provided training and consulting to child welfare organizations nationwide on implementing strength and safety-organized practice skills. Philip has written and taught extensively on crises faced by children and families and their interactions with helping communities.
